The C3 Corvette Windshield Wiper Motor

Follow
C3 Corvette

My 1981's C3 Corvette windshield wiper motor looked horrible and I had to do something about it before reinstalling it in the freshly painted and detailed firewall.

It's a remanufactured motor, which is better than a reproduction unit, but it was painted black and after years of service looked like it was ready to be retired for good.

But looks can be deceiving, so I decided to give it a second lease on life and that meant hours of elbow grease and paint strippers to bring it back to its former glory, or even better than that.

Yes, the results were terrific and this wiper motor will look great in the restored firewall.

Not all old parts have to be discarded. The great majority can be successfully brought back to life with a good cleaning.

This not only saves money that could be put to better use elsewhere but also restore an old original part that, in most cases, will be of far better quality than a new reproduction unit.

Thank you for watching!
