This is a great example of the legendary Nauticat 40 Pilothouse, designed by Sparkman and Stevens and built by Sitala in Finland. This is a rare boat, and with that I'd argue that she's delightfully weird in that you just don't see designs quite like this in boats of this size and vintage.

Tell me another 40' yacht from the 80s that incorporates a ketch rig, aft cockpit, pilothouse, huge galley, full beam aft cabin with an ensuite head, and a large forward cabin and second head? Combine that with a robust below the waterline fin keel and skeghung rudder. I'll wait.

I think this is my new favorite 40' design from this timeframe.
