Dropshipping wholesale products (compared to retail products) has many advantages.

From higher profit margins, to avoiding branded boxes, to no receipts in shipments, and ultimately long term account health….working directly with wholesalers can be a major advantage.

So, in today’s video, I’m going to cover how to start a wholesale drop shipping business on Amazon.

This is all based on personal experience and I’ll share the exact strategies and software I use in my own business.

Using retail suppliers is easy. You can go on pretty much any website and copy products from there.

However, Finding legit, reliable, wholesale suppliers….That also drop ship can be more challenging. …But it’s not as hard as it seems if you know what you’re doing.

There’s 2 main ways to find profitable wholesale products that you can drop ship on Amazon.

The first way is to reverse engineer other sellers that are selling branded products on the platform already.

The way you can do this is the search brands on Amazon, that you know exclusively sell on other websites.

Off the top of my head, 2 examples of these are…mainstays & kobalt.

If you can find these branded products listed on Amazon, then you know whoever selling them is either drop shipping them from the supplier…. Or they purchased one second hand & are reselling it

…. and more often than not, you’ll find that it’s the former not the latter.

Obviously, if you know specific wholesale brands, you can search them…. And finding those will lead you to successful sellers already dropshipping their products on Amazon.

But if not, finding Seller sdropshipping any brand that exclusively sells elsewhere can be helpful because then you can use their stores to see what other products and what other brands there also drop shipping.

From there, you can reverse engineer the wholesale supplier that sells them and sign up for an account.

To sign up for a wholesale supplier you’ll need a resellers permit.

The second way …. which is much more effective in my opinion….. is to find a list of wholesale suppliers first. Then see if they drop ship…AND if they have profitable products.

You can check supplier directories (like salehoo, inventory source, or sparkshipping for example). You can go to trade show website and see what suppliers are listed there.

Or you can just join my Amazon dropship pro course. I rarely plug it and I actively try not to mention my courses in these videos…. But honestly, it’s the best place.

In it, you get the strategies and software tutorials….but it also comes with a list of over 11,000 wholesale suppliers and how to contact them.

The list is pre vetted already so every supplier is legit and reliable.

You might not get accepted to everyone obviously …. And not all of them dropship…. But it’s a great starting point for the next step.

Once you have a supplier, there’s 2 things you can check for right off the bat so you know if they’ll dropship….and so you don’t waste your time signing up for tons of suppliers that you’ll never use.

Make sure they have no minimum order quantity…..AND they offer order fulfillment. If both of those are true…you know they’ll dropship.

Once you’ve signed up for a supplier, you want to get their product catalog (which is basically just an organized list of all their products with prices & product identifiers (like a SKU or UPC for example).

You can then run their product catalog through a software called scan unlimited to find what products are profitable.

Scan unlimited compares amazons catalog of millions of products to your suppliers products so you can find out in seconds which ones to list.

And obviously, when you’re dropshipping, you want to list ALL the products that are profitable….b/c any sale you make while mean $$$ in your pocket.

Keep in mind you might want to also use a software like Jungle Scout to gage the sales of a product.
