In today's episode, we follow the story of a first homebuyer who trusted the developer and the real estate agent, only to experience a nightmare after moving into her $5 million home. A leak triggered her to call us to investigate the entire home, and what we found was shocking.

As we investigated the home, we discovered that noncompliant works were present throughout, from drainage and roofing to waterproofing and structural issues. The cost to rectify these issues could be at least half a million dollars, leaving the homeowner in a difficult position.

To make matters worse, after a couple of months of the homeowner trying to rectify the issues, the builder went into liquidation, leaving her in an even more precarious situation. This is a cautionary tale for all homebuyers, and one that highlights the importance of thorough inspections before purchasing a home.
