How did enslaved African Americans celebrate Thanksgiving? Did they celebrate? Every year, many of us get together with family and eat a traditional Thanksgiving meal. However, some Black Americans and Native Americans find this holiday to be complicated as they feel celebrating the holiday disrespects their ancestors. In this episode, Dr. Trish discusses what Thanksgiving Day may have looked like for enslaved African Americans.
