New South Wales Police Superintendent Wayne Humphrey says the pilot who made the emergency landing at Newcastle Airport made a “textbook wheelsup landing”.

A plane has made an emergency landing at Newcastle Airport after circling for almost four hours.

There were three people onboard, including the pilot.

“He made a textbook wheelsup landing, which I was very happy to see,” Mr Humphrey said at a press conference on Monday.
