But for real, we know that the first example is a dramatization of mixing. However, we have seen improper mixing techniques before, like swirling and adding incorrect ratios of hardener to filler and glaze.

Below are some triedandtrue techniques you should follow when mixing body filler or glaze:

Make sure to knead the hardener and use the correct amounts and proportions to get a 50:1 ratio.

Never swirl or stir your body filler or glaze — this will introduce air into the material.

Instead, use a fold and flatten technique to properly mix body filler and glaze. By flattening the material across the mixing board, this will force any air out and can help extend the work time on the material.
