Taste Bar + Kitchen Restaurant Review Best Soul Food in Houston!

In this video I review Taste Bar + Kitchen. ***Note: This is the midtown location before they moved! Updated reviews and content are on my IG page, search "WhitneyHTX". They serve elevated southern comfort food full of flavor. This may be the next soul food I’ve ever had!

The entrees described in this video are below and priced based on visiting during June and September 2021 calendar year:


Taste of Soul $25. Smothered chicken (white or dark I ordered white), collard greens, candied yams, rice and gravy and choice of cornbread or biscuit. I had the cornbread waffle even though I may have said biscuit in the video.

Jerk Rack of Lamb $43. Half a rack of lamb chops served with smoked gouda mac & cheese, and braised collard greens. Garlic and herb substitution available.

Elevated chicken and waffle: cajun style the base price is $15 but they charge $2 extra per flavored waffle.

Twin Lobster $48. A fried lobster tail & grilled lobster tail served with smoked gouda mac & cheese.

Braised Collard Greens (w/ smoked turkey) as a side: $7
Elevated Mac & Cheese as a side item: smoked gouda $8. Bacon smoked gouda $10.
