I had no idea what to expect from Tales of Kenzera: ZAU, but I sure wasn't expecting a mustplay that has managed to place on my personal topfive list of an already jampacked year of video game releases. This foundation of a moving adventure grappling with the heartache of loss is accentuated by masterful voice acting, vivid environments, and songs of fitting ambiance.

Additionally, the gameplay is compact with nearly immaculate pacing, thanks to welldesigned platforming and combat challenges necessitating an inherent understanding of your toolkit. Sadly, the bosses don't follow in these same footsteps, but this is undeniably a mustplay 2D action adventure you need to put on your radar.
