Stepbystep instructions for installing Bilstein 5100 suspension install for a 2nd Gen Toyota Tacoma. As lift kits go this is probably the best budget lift kit I have installed. The Bilstein 5100 shocks are a perfect allaround shock that has survived the test of time. This kit works with the Old Man Emu heavyduty springs to give the front a 2.8" lift.

We also added SPC upper control arms to give us the muchneeded adjustability to get back to the sock ride quality. They also have an upgrade greaseable ball and they're trademarked xAxis sealed flex joints

In the rear, you have a few different options from a spacer to added leaves, or a completely new leaf pack. We went with Icon added leaves to give us that one inch of lift to match the height of the front. If you're going to carry a lot of weight in the rear of your truck or change it over to a fullfledge overland rig I would suggest the new leaf pack.
