Taco Bell | The Rise and Fall then Rise AGAIN

Business Nerd

I’ve been reading up on Glen Bell (Taco Bell founder) to try and understand what kind of person gives birth to a fastfood empire. Unlike Ray Kroc (McDonald's), Glen Bell didn’t screw over honest hardworking company founders in the name of expedience, ego, or greed. Bell bootstrapped his businesses by slowly building off small successes. At only 23yearsold spent the first few years of his entrepreneurial career starting not one, but four hamburger stands, two different taquerias, and one miniature golf course. I particularly like the miniature gold course part of this story because it just seems so random. Hopefully, this video will give you what it gave me as I researched it; deep insight into the life of one of American’s great but rarely talked about entrepreneurs, and how his company overcame obstacles to become the behemoth it is today.
