Tackling Stress to be Our Best : Department of the Navy Office of Force Resiliency

U.S. Navy

“Tackling Stress to Be Our Best” is a conversation with Dr. Nicholas Polizzi and Chaplain Cmdr. Peter Dietz as part of Mental Health Awareness Month where they discuss topics such as sleep, exercise, diet, healthy relationships, and seeking help.

Observance of #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth provides the Navy an opportunity to focus on the mental health of the larger Navy community with discussions and efforts promoting access to help, wellness, and resilience resources, as well as what to do when another service member needs support.

The mental health of our Sailors, civilians, and their families is a top priority in the Navy. We proactively make every effort to foster environments promoting mental health and removing barriers to seeking help, increase awareness of resources, and take appropriate action when someone is in need. Asking for help is a sign of strength.

These are part of ongoing efforts to create a climate supportive of psychological health, where Sailors and civilians can thrive mentally and physically.
