In this sweet potato slip update video, Karen shows you the planted slips that she planted the night before. She had one sweet potato growing in her pantry so she encouraged it to grow in the house. Once the slips got to be bigger than the size of pencil she removed them from the tuber and put them in a jar with water & a smidge of fertilizer to help them grow roots before going into the ground. Each Sweet Potato Slip will produce aprox. 6 tubers. 6 slips x 6 tubers per plant = 36 tubers from one sweet potato!!!! Are you growing any potatoes? we have some of those in front flowerbed. I challenge you to grow some potatoes. These sweet potatoes will create long beautiful vines. How many sweet potatoes do you eat each year? I challenge you to eat 2 a week. You would want to grow 104 tubers... that's 18 sweet potato slips to plant each year. See how easy it was to plant 6.
