Surging Snow Blower Fix - Running lean.

Surging snow blower fix. Is your snowblower surging at full throttle / high speed and it gets better if you add some choke? If so, chances are your snowblower is running lean. Here we fix the problem on a Huskvarna ST 227P, but it will be similar for any newer model snowblower that uses an LCT (Liquid Combustion Technology) engine (many snow blowers do these days).

As shown in video, you would not have to take the snowblower carburetor completely off as I did if you had this exact same issue (partially blocked main jet & dirt in the float bowl). The float bowl could be removed from under the snow blower cowling and remove the jet to clean it without removing the entire carburetor.

However, for those that want to remove the carb for a proper snowblower carburetor service & cleaning, now you know exactly what's involved & how to do it. Hopefully fixing your surging snowblower engine.

If you are still having a fuel starvation issues after carb cleaning, also check for a hidden filter in the fuel tank hose bib that easily gets clogged see first pinned comment in the comments section.
