The third Metroid game was set to be the biggest and most ambitious entry in the series yet. Free from the shackles of NES and Gameboy hardware, the team for this new project made it their mission to make "a good action game." In this review, I explain to the best of my ability (and with a notsosubtle hint of bias) how I believe the Metroid team went above and beyond with Metroid 3: Super Metroid.
