Sunseeker Predator 65 Yacht Tour u0026 Review | YachtBuyer

The Sunseeker Predator 65 shares an awful lot with the 65 Sport Yacht, but is it a convenient byproduct of an existing design or a standout boat in its own right?

In this indepth walkthrough tour and review of the Sunseeker Predator 65, shot during the London Luxury Afloat boat show, Jack Haines guides you through the boat’s deck spaces, interior and engine room to discover whether the sportscruiser is a better package than its sportsbridge cousin.

The hull, drivetrain, lower deck and main deck are all identical to the Sport Yacht but the major difference is the size of the sunroof in the saloon. The Sport Yacht has a sunroof but it’s nowhere near as large as the Predator’s, which features huge glass panels and a part carbon fibre structure. Even when closed the amount of natural light that pours into the main deck is extraordinary and with it open, the Predator feels like a totally different boat.

The Predator 65 shares the flexible layout of the boat it’s based on, which means you can have a galley up or down arrangement and the choice of a fourth cabin, utility space or the ‘grand master’ amidships.

There are two IPS engine options available, though the 1,000hp versions will surely prove the more popular. The top speed is an impressive 35 knots, which leaves plenty of wiggle room for cruising speed depending on the conditions.
