Part 1: Heart of Sunflower

R1. Start with a magic ring. Add 4 single crochet. Close with a slip stitch.

R2. Make 1 single crochet, then add 12 double crochet in the center. Close the row with a slip stitch. Close the piece and cut off the yarn. Pull the yarn to make it tight in the center.

Part 2: Sunflower Petals

R1. Start by adding 3 single crochet. Make a puffy stitch with 3 triple (TREBLE) crochet. Meaning make three triple crochets, but close it by pulling the 4th loop through all of the rest of the loops. Add 2 single crochet. The next petal is a puffy stitch made from 4 triple crochet. Make 12 petals.

Part 3: Sunflower Border

Attach white yarn by making one single crochet, and add 3 double crochet.

First Side. Add 3 triple crochet. Chain 2 single crochet. Add three triple crochet. Add 3 double crochet. Add another 3 double crochet.

Second Side. Add 3 triple crochet. Chain 2 single crochet. Add 3 triple crochet. Add 3 double crochet and another 3 double crochet.

Third Side. Make again 3 triple crochet, chain 2 single crochet, and then another 3 triple crochet. Add three double crochet and then another 3 double crochet.

Fourth Side. Make a triple crochet and then chain two, and make three double crochet. Add two double crochet. Close the row with a slip stitch.

Make one single crochet and continue with a double crochet until the corner. On the corners make 2 double crochet and chain 2 and add another 2 double crochet for the corner. After continue with only one double crochet. Close the row with the slip stitch.✂
