Suncheonman Bay Wetland Reserve
The fields in Suncheonman Bay is thickly covered with reeds taller than a fullgrown man. It is the biggest colony of reeds in Korea. The image of the entire field swaying in the wind is as dazzling as waves on the sea.


Songgwangsa Temple
It was built 1,000years ago. In accordance with its lengthy history, Songgwangsa has a number of important treasures and cultural assets, such as the 13.9 cm high, miniature, wooden altar with a triad of Buddhas inside. But the most appropriate asset for a temple considered to be the “Sangha Treasure” is the community of monks itself. Around 150 monks practice every year in the Seon Room, Sutra School and Precepts School that are part of this temple. Songgwangsa also takes care of many mountain hermitages, including Bulilam, Gwangwonam, and Cheonjaam.

Naganeupseong Walled Town
Naganeupseong Walled Town is located in Jeollanamdo, and contains a fortress town that is over 59,504 ㎡ in size. The fortress walls were built using squareshaped stones to reach 4 meters in height, 3 to 4 meters in width, and 1,410 meters in total length. The town consists of three neighborhoods along the east, south and west of the fortress walls. The village is overall well preserved, allowing visitors to observe houses and lifestyles that have all been passed down from the past. The town is highly valued as a historical and cultural resource for studying traditional folk customs.


Suncheonman Bay National Garden
Suncheonman Bay National Garden was established on a plot of 1.12 million ㎢ to help protect Suncheonman Bay. The garden is home to over 790,000 trees in 505 species and 3.15 million flowers in 113 species. The numerous groups of tulips and royal azaleas are truly a sight to see. In addition, the nearby 30,000 ㎡ field of canola flowers in full bloom in May creates a beautiful yellow "wave" of color. Although there are restaurants within the garden, bringing in food is allowed, making the garden a great location for a picnic in the shade of the trees.
