The 2024 Subaru Impreza has finally arrived in Australian showrooms, some 15 months after its global reveal, with the sixthgeneration small hatchback closely related to the thirdgeneration Crosstrek (nee XV) SUV that's been on sale locally since May 2023.

In fact, the similarities between the new Impreza and Crosstrek run so deep that key differences between the two are few and far between. After all, even the former comes with the Japanese brand's signature symmetrical allwheeldrive system, which is unique for its class. That said, the latter does set itself apart with the option of a very mild hybrid powertrain.
