Hammy, who'se name may become Burgie, is no doubt ready for his new family and they can't wait to meet him!

However, he has to be able to eat on his own! Weaning babies is a process, and one I don't like pushing. Something has to trigger in their mind. They have to go from swallowing food when they are fed by mom (or me) to picking at and eating their food. It's almost like deciding to go from drinking liquids to eating solids for us.

So, it's a transition that (I feel) is important to support and be loving about. We all learn to eat, but when we are allowed to do it on our own schedule and in our own time then we feel comfortable, confident and accepted.

I love for my babies to feel loved!
