These are some of my 2014 breeding finches in Sydney, Australia. Some I selected for head shape and others for colour, at the same time as trying to keep the gene pool broad. There's one particularly strongly coloured male Gouldian Finch hIs chest is darker and his feathering more iridescent than the others. You can spot him first on a branch to the right, then he pecks at a piece of millet spray for a while, then hops across the front of the dish and hangs about on a rock to the left.

I also really like the black headed hens (check out the whitebreasted one), and of course the stunning redheaded, whitebreasted cock birds.

I have Gouldian Finches descended from this colony for sale in Sydney every December, and sometimes January. Check Gumtree under "Pittwater area". (Please don't enquire if you are not local, as there is no way for me to sell them to you :).)
