When symptoms are recognized (face droop, arm drift and slurred speech) a call to 911 is imperative. Patients taken to Nebraska Medicine or Methodist Hospital can be assured the proper stroke protocols will be followed which often results in positive outcomes. May is National Stroke Awareness Month.
