In this video I’ll be discussing the reason you should follow the TikTok trend of soaking your strawberries in vinegar and salt. After all, who wants to be greeted by unexpected visitors? Rather chase them away than consuming them! This one is for all the strawberry lovers out there, the hardest pill we’ve all ever had to swallow is the fact that strawberries take the number one spot on the annual Dirty Dozen food list. Now, this doesn’t mean we should all stop eating strawberries after all they’re rich in potassium, folate, manganese, vitamin c, and antioxidants.

After nearly 25 years of living, TikTok taught me how to properly wash strawberries. They are FILLED with tiny bugs and tons of dirt!!
1 part white vinegar
4 parts cold water
Sprinkle of salt
Let sit 5 min
Rinse with water
Pat dry

It just so happened that I had all of those things on hand, so I went ahead and did it to see what would happen. Much to my surprise, I had no bugs I got these organic GoodFarms Strawberries from Natural Grocers and perhaps they had already been rinsed clean.
