Straight No Chaser performs a funny and beautifully sung cover of The Lion Sleeps Tonight at the Comerica Theater in Phoenix, Arizona on August 11, 2017. The Lion Sleeps Tonight was written by Soloman Linda (under the title Mbube) in 1939 in Zulu; the English versions lyrics were written by George Weiss and it was covered internationally by many artists, although in 1961 it became a number one hit in the US for the doowop group the Tokens.
