Have you ever ridden the Storybook Land Canal Boats ride at Disneyland?
This might be one of the most overlooked (and shortest lines!) at Disneyland and it's truly such a sweet ride that is perfect for all ages. Plus it has a rich history at Disney and is a must ride, in my opinion.

As you'll see in our video tour of the Storybook Land Canal Boats ride ... right before we boarded we had a disney character sighting of Pinocchio & Geppetto skipping through Fantasyland and Pinocchio's reaction when he saw the whale was quite cute!

One of the original rides at Disneyland, the Storybook Land Canal Boats are a wonderful attraction located at the Disneyland and Disneyland Park theme parks. Up to 12 passengers per boat will enjoy a leisurely paced outdoor cruise through a winding canal featuring settings from Disney animated films and fairytales recreated in miniature style throughout the land.

The painstakingly detailed models use a scale of one inch to one foot. Riders will see detailed miniature models of these favorites:

The village of Arendelle and Elsa’s ice palace from Frozen
The straw, stick and brick houses from Three Little Pigs
The manicured London park from Peter Pan
The Alpine village from Pinocchio
The English village from Alice in Wonderland
The royal city of Agrabah and Cave of Wonders from Aladdin
Prince Eric’s palace and King Triton's underwater castle from The Little Mermaid
The Cottage of the Dwarfs from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
The French countryside village and mountaintop castle from Cinderella
The Giant’s patchwork quilt from Lullaby Land
Toad Hall from The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad

Make sure to keep an eye out for the magic lantern in the dark tunnel and make a wish! It might just come true!

The history of the Storybook Land Canal Boats is one of the oldest at the part, as the Disneyland version was one of the original attractions when the park opened on July 17, 1955, although the miniature buildings and landscaping were not added until the following year.
