Today we are up on the Chiltern Hills where I train my dogs, this is the Misbourne Valley where the little chalk stream has swollen to a very high level in the last two months and is flooding the valley floor as well as the villages of Chalfont St Giles and St Peter. Some say HS2 is partly to blame but Thames Water must take the blame for not repairing the sewer which is broken, overwhelmed and overflowing. Here however we are high up and out of the wet.
Askham Meg is a lovely farm worker who I am attempting to fine tune so that she can compete in a few trials. she doesnt stop very well because she has really never been asked to, normally just gathering 1200 sheep and moving them around. She is learning her whistles pretty well but the stop is not good so we are concentrating on that mainly.
