23°32,07N / 75°46,34W Stocking Island Powder Beach
The area between Great Exuma and Stocking Island is called “Elisabeth Harbour”. At the time of the famous family regatta there are 300 yachts anchoring here. A little away from the main area my favourite place is the so called powder beach. Indeed, there is pure finest white sand. A local started a samll bar with drinks and hot dog. You can relax under the umbrellas or try out the beautiful swing on the beach where you can make spectacular pictures.
On the eastern side of the beach there is a trail leading through a palmtree forest to the ocean side with miles long deserted beaches.

I am sailing with my Gemini 105MC catamaran NIRVANA every year to the central Bahamas, the island chain of the Exumas. In the summer hurricane season I leave my boat in Florida in the Indiantown Marina near Lake Okeechobee and fly home to Germany.
