The 2024 Mazda MX5 has arrived, but don't expect wholesale changes to the iconic sports car. Instead, the MY24 model is an even further refined version of the fourthgeneration formula, with the ND series continuing to go from strength to strength, this time with key updates that look to elevate the driving experience yet again.
So, what is new about the latest Subaru BRZ rival? If you opt for a variant with the sixspeed manual gearbox, you get a new asymmetric limitedslip differential (LSD) and a more responsive accelerator pedal, while the topspec GT RS grade scores a new dynamic stability control (DSC) mode designed for track work. There's also retuned electric power steering.
In this expert review, CarsGuide Journalist Chris Thompson attends the MY24 MX5's Australian media launch to find out if it continues the roadster's run as the world's best bangforyourbuck twodoor.
