One of interior designer Stéphanie Coutas' favourites, this flat boasts an uninterrupted view of the Hôtel des Invalides and its golden dome, an iconic monument in the 7th arrondissement of Paris.

Thanks to the high ceilings and magnificent windows, the light streaming through creates a special atmosphere at every moment of the day...
The starting point for this new project is the plaster that clads the cornices and creates the shelves, encasing the Haussmann features like a new skin, giving them a rounder, more organic energy. It's an unprecedented feat of interior design, giving the whole structure added relief.

The spaces were redesigned for a more paredback style, with an almost monastic whiteness to give them greater scale and provide a blank page for the striking works of art selected by the decorator. Two contemporary works by Japanese artist Tadashi Kawamata are the centrepieces of the living area, alongside primitive art. The textures are infinitely varied, from floor to ceiling, with a choice of premium materials. The master bedroom, with its shades of creamy white, has its own bathroom, a haven of peace, made entirely of Italian Arabescato Corchia marble.

The property also includes a study, which can be transformed into a guest bedroom or home cinema as required, where there is a spectacular botanical fresco made of plaster, creating a masterly effect of texture and lightness.
Stéphanie Coutas has taken particular pride in creating a luxurious, lightfilled space, full of tranquillity, directly inspired by the Brutalist movement.

Grâce à la belle hauteur sous plafond et de magnifiques fenêtres, la lumière traversante crée une atmosphère particulière à chaque moment de la journée.Pour ce projet, Stéphanie Coutas a souhaité conserver son style haussmannien, tout en lui réécrivant une nouvelle énergie, plus sensuelle. Elle redessine les espaces pour leurs offrir de l’ampleur, donner de la courbe, en réponse à ensemble très rectangulaire, propre à ce style architectural.

Dans la grande pièce à vivre, une triple peau en staff habille la grande pièce à vivre, et donne le LA de cette nouvelle énergie, tout en rondeur, en formes organiques.

Pièces maitresses de cette nouvelle histoire décorative, les deux œuvres contemporaines de l’artiste japonais Tadashi Kawamata se mélangent à de l’art primitif. Stéphanie Coutas insuffle à cet intérieur une âme audacieuse, aussi épurée que puissante, s’inspirant du courant brutaliste.
Un esprit que l’on retrouve dans la chambre principale, où le blanc tend vers le crème dans une variété de tissus soigneusement sélectionnés. La salle de bain principale est reliée à la chambre via un ensemble d'inserts en marbre au sol. Ici, le marbre italien Arabescato Corchia s’étend du sol au plafond et la fenêtre s’encadre d’un mur végétal créé par le paysagiste Sébastien Habert.

Le bien comprend également un bureau, pouvant se transformer en chambre invité ou home cinéma au gré des envies, où l’on découvre une fresque végétale en staff, magistrale par son relief et sa légèreté.
En lui apportant une attention toute particulière, Stéphanie Coutas signe un ensemble luxueux et lumineux, empli de quiétude… qui sait se transformer en espace de réception et de joie grâce à sa modularité.
