When you reach feeding day, you can repeat it forever, and just a few grams of the remaining starter at the bottom of the jar can give you a fresh starter.
If one of the days in the process fails, don't worry, just repeat that same day again and keep going. Usually the starter keeps fermenting.
Usually, the watertoflour ratio in starter is equal, and you can proceed with that method, but trust me, this is a beginnerfriendly approach. It makes it easier to create a simpler starter, and you can still bake a perfect sourdough bread.

How to make a sourdough starter:
Day One:
100 grams whole wheat flour
140 grams water
Day 2:
100 grams whole wheat flour
HALF OF THE STARTER FROM THE PREVIOUS DAY
140 grams water
Day 3:
35 grams whole wheat flour
35 grams allpurpose flour or bread flour
75 grams starter
65 grams water
Day 4:
35 grams whole wheat flour
