Steiger Lion 1000 Tractor Seeding Spring Wheat in Big Sky Country

In this video I am out in the field near Shelby Montana with a Steiger Lion 1000 Tractor pulling a Case IH air seeder/hoe drill. This farm is seeding spring wheat into a field that was seeding to winter wheat but had a poor stand due to low moisture.

The Steiger Lion 1000 tractor was only built in 1986 and was one of the last Green Steigers built before Steiger was acquired by Tenneco (Case IH). The Case IH 9180 tractor is pretty much a red version on this tractor. The Steiger Lion was rated at 375 horsepower and built in Fargo North Dakota.

In the background of this video you can see the Rocky Mountains with snow on the tops and also in the next field over from this tractor is a Big Bud HN320 tractor with a Melroe chisel plow that will be in a future video.
