Staying at WINE HOTEL in MENDOZA Argentina 🍇 | Wine Tasting at FINCA ADALGISA + BODEGA FURLOTTI

In this video, we'll be sharing our stay at Finca Adalgisa, a boutique wine hotel located about 25 minutes outside of Mendoza!

Finca Adalgisa is a fourthgeneration property with vines that are over 100 years old. The finca was founded by two Italian families: the Morettis who came from Tuscany and the Furlottis who came from Parma. It was shortly after their arrival in Mendoza that they bought their first vineyard and began to produce wine, and they are still at it today.

One of the unique things about this wine hotel, is that Finca Adalgisa is situated right in the vineyard. As the city has grown and expanded, many of the original vineyards have been lost as people plant further away, however, the Malbec vines on this property are the ones that were planted by the first owner.

During our stay at this wine hotel we got to enjoy wine o'clock and sample their Malbec wine (only 5000 bottles are made per year!) We also got to partake in a wonderful asado with fellow guests from around the world, and try their delicious tapas which use olive oil from the hotel's very own olive grove.

We also took a little excursion to Finca Adalgisa’s sister winery: Bodega Furlotti. This is a working bodega so the tastings were straight from the tanks. We sampled 3 wines at various stages of the winemaking process ranging from young and fruity to mature and fullbodied. It was a fun experience and lucky for us, we’d be enjoying some of Bodega Furlotti’s wines back at the finca for dinner that evening.

We hope this video will give you an idea of what it's like to stay at a boutique wine hotel in Mendoza! For further reading, here's a blog post all about our stay at Finca Adalgisa: http://thatbackpacker.com/2019/05/09/...'>http://thatbackpacker.com/2019/05/09/...

Staying at WINE HOTEL in MENDOZA, Argentina | Wine Tasting at FINCA ADALGISA + BODEGA FURLOTTI:

Hey guys! We are Samuel and Audrey, a travel vlogging couple from Canada. In this travel channel we share our travel and food vlogs while touring the world.

We had the privilege of traveling around Argentina for nearly 3 months from January April 2019 on a trip covering a large section of the country.

We kicked things off with several days in Buenos Aires where we were joined by Audrey's parents eating and sightseeing around some of our favourite neighbourhoods in the city. We then flew from Buenos Aires to Cordoba where we spent a couple of weeks in the Sierras of Cordoba visiting both La Cumbrecita and Villa General Belgrano with highlights including hiking and delicious German and Swiss cuisine.

From Cordoba, we then travelled a considerable distance on an overnight bus to Mar Del Plata just in time for a special food festival called Feria Masticar featuring the best of Argentine food and wine. We spent several days enjoying beaches and seafood before heading south to Patagonia to visit the province of Chubut.

We finished visiting Patagonia with time spent in Villa La Angostura, San Martin De Los Andes and Bariloche where we enjoyed more stunning scenery and hiking. On our way back to Buenos Aires, we took the Tren Patagonia to Las Grutas before meeting up with Audrey's dad again.

To finish off our trip in Argentina, we spent more time in the capital and later Mendoza where we got to experience wine tourism to its fullest extent. Overall, we had an amazing time travelling around Argentina having only scratched the surface of this vast and diverse country.

Overall our Argentina travel series explores cities, small towns that are offthebeatenpath, and scenic attractions with a strong emphasis on Argentina cuisine and local culture.
