My Mother always said “It’s better to have it and not need it than need it an not have it.” Words I have lived by.

I am filling gaps & holes in my preps. I intend to stocking up on things before the prices get any higher or they become unavailable in my stores. I am already seeing both in my area with no sign of letting up. Starting March 2024 it will be time to start fill all the hole’s I have created in my pantries.

On this channel you will find video's about our journey to Selfsufficient (may be off grid) life style. Right now we are still tied to the grid in may ways. We have what I love to call our Urban Homestead. We grown a good portion of our own food in our backyard & driveway gardens. Which we expended to about three times the size last year. We do a bit of container gardening for most of our herbs which conveniently sit in a sunny spot right outside the kitchen door. We still have trials & struggles with growing our own food but we learn something new every year; what works & what doesn't for our area.

I do 100% of our cooking at home. We haven't eaten out since 2019 and even then we only ate out about 56 times a year for birthday's & wedding anniversary. We brown bag it to save money, travel mug for coffee / tea, using other tip's & trick's my mother taught me such as stretching a meal etc.
