'From The Factory Floor’ takes you on a deep dive into select processes around the PRS factory. In this episode, we explore the staining process. After a quality inspection of the guitar, our stain team will apply water, oil, or alcoholbased stains to complement the unique character of the wood. When Paul Reed Smith started the company in 1985 he offered just three color options we now offer dozens of stain colors and proudly encourage our stain team to experiment and develop new combinations.
