When your browser connects to a web server, it suggests a bunch of protocols to use to secure your data. These are contained in what is known as a "Cipher Suite". There are currently over 300 cipher suites in TLS. Rather than go through all 300, I'm going to teach you what you need to know about each individual protocol so you can compare cipher suites to one another to determine which are secure and which are insecure.

As a bonus, we'll also manually walk through a demonstration where we check the certificate revocation status to show you what your web browser does every time it visits an HTTPS website.
