In this video I introduce you to Muffy, who is getting subcutaneous fluids at home today, for the first time... hopefully! I wanted to share Muffy's experience with you so that you can see one cat's reaction to their very first fluids. I start the video while giving fluids to Cat, who you may remember from my previous demonstration video. I wanted to show the contrast between a cat who handles fluids well and a cat who does not.

*Spoiler Alert* It doesn't go well, in case the title didn't give it away. In the end Muffy received very little of the total volume of fluids she needs, and give my thoughts on what we'll try next.

Update (592019):
A little less than a week after filming this video Muffy was hospitalized with a urinary tract infection and "acute on chronic kidney injury." As of today she's been home for 3.5 days. She's recovering very well and is receiving daily fluids now. As soon as I can get new video footage of her sessions posted I'll share them with you so you can see what's happening.
