''It’s the Season to Go Squid Fishing.''

Something I always look forward to every season. Not because of the action but also the great eating.
I’ve put together a 2 part How to guide on squid fishing and which rigs and techniques I use when targeting these winter beasts.
The 1st past (this video) shows us how to build 3 different squid rigs:

The two Squid jig Rig
The Bling rig
The squid float rig

Each of these rigs are EASY to make, very easy to work and of course make life easier when targeting squid.
In Part two I will be using the jigs to catch squid. (More to come when released in a weeks’ time)


Components needed for each rig:
The Two jig Rig:

2 x mono lines (between 2550lb) Approx. 3/4ft in length
3 Lure clips
2 squid Jigs of your choice


The Bling Rig:

1 x squid Jig
2 x lure clips
1 x Float Light with tubing
3/5 Aluminous beads
2550lb mono (rig body)


The Squid Float Rig:

2 x swivels
2 x beads
Rig body mono (25lb – 50lb)
1 x squid jig or squid needed/ bait cage
1 large float (recommend a 50g float)
Float weigh (always go smaller than recommended) – in this instance I’m using a 50g float and a 35g weight.
Bait of your choice.
