It often happens that a customer, or even yourself, wishes to add just one more socket to a circuit.
Perhaps it is to make it easier to plug in the computer without having to keep using extension leads, or an extra socket on the workbench in the garage.
Which circuits can I extend from?
What do I need to consider?
Can I have three extra sockets?
Can I spur off the water heater?
In this video we will answer many of these questions and there are lots of possibilities and of course, a right and wrong way to do it.
We will hopefully give you the information that you are looking for, the answers to some of your questions and show you how to extend circuits safely and in accordance with the Wiring Regulations.
We have also included reference tables to help you when you extend circuits and add sockets.
