Sphynx is a breed of cat which appears hairless, but actually has fuzz all over its body. It also has a little bit of fur on the bridge of its nose, the tip of its tail, and on the tips of its ears. They are not hypoallergenic.

They originated in Toronto, Canada, in 1966, as a natural mutation. A domestic cat gave birth to a hairless cat, named Prune, which began the breed.

Sphynx cats are very energetic, extroverted, and inquisitive. They are people friendly and pet friendly.

They have long toes and thick paw pads. They often use their paws like hands to grab things. Speaking of grabbing things, they are a quite mischievous breed.

Mr. Bigglesworth, who was Dr. Evil's cat in the Austin Powers movies, was played by a Sphynx.
