I 3D printed my spherical puzzle. First prototype failed terribly, so I had to redesign lots of it and that took me longer than expected. It was super fun and challenging to model, I actually learned a lot making this contraption. Now I just need to add some color to it...

I was inspired by the game The Witness. After playing it, I wanted to make my own puzzle, and use the theme of starting on a circle and moving through a line that ends on a rounded end. In this case, however, you need to trace 4 of those paths over a sphere at the same time. I also borrowed some of the iconography from the game (hexagons, tetris blocks, branching trees, etc) and placed them as clues on the tetrahedrons in case you get lost, they imply different step numbers for solving the puzzle.
