The province is planning on upping the speed limit on certain 400series highways across Ontario.
Ontario’s transportation minister Prabmeet Sarkaria was in Hamilton on Wednesday to make the announcement, calling the move a “commonsense change” that will make life more convenient for Ontario drivers.
“Today I am pleased to announce that starting July 12th our government is raising the speed limit permanently from 100 km/h to 110 km/h on 10 additional sections of provincial highways in northern and southern Ontario,” Sarkaria said.
