Today I want to show you how Elsa, the dog we rescued last week after she was shot and abandoned in the fields, is progressing. Since her arrival at our hospital, we saw the deep fear she had, more fear than I’ve seen in any other animal. But, thanks to constant care and a lot of love, Elsa is starting to change. She is learning that not all humans are bad and that those who abandoned her are the exception.
Elsa is also being treated for leishmaniasis, a serious disease that we are managing to control little by little. Her recovery fills us with hope.
