The Somali has the same ticked coat as the Abyssinian, except for the extra length. Each hair shaft in a ticked coat has alternating light and dark bands of color. The Somali ticking may take longer to develop than the Aby ticking.


The Bengal can never be described as delicate. He is an athlete: agile and graceful, with a strong, muscular body that befits a jungledwelling cat. His broad head is a modified wedge shape with rounded contours, longer than it is wide.
