Rainforest, alpine lakes, mountains, and glaciers. This was a 2day backpacking trip of the High Divide Seven Lakes Basin Loop. To experience its stunning wild beauty through sunrise and sunset, reminded me why I love to backpack. This was the second time I did this loop. The first trip was about eight years ago and the rain and clouds obscured the views. This time, I got lucky with exceptional weather. It was as if I hiked it for the first time as everything seemed new.
