This tutorial shows how to create a generic spur gear template using parameters and equations of spur gears such as module, number of teeth, addendum, dedendum, and important diameters (pitch diameter, root diameter, major diameter, base diameter). The video shows how to vary parameters to generate new gears. The involute gear tooth profile is generated using the parametric trig functions.
