After two weeks on the road we made it from California to the totality zone for the solar eclipse in Texas! We got settled into our camp for a few days before the eclipse and nervously watched the weather reports for the impending clouds and thunderstorms. On eclipse day, although still cloudy, the clouds parted intermittently to reveal the eclipse. Moreover the clouds parted at the perfect time during totality… there is no words to describe the feeling of being at the right place at the right time aligned with the sun and the moon. We enjoyed the great company and live music at the camp before the thunderstorms finally hit in the evening after the eclipse. The storms hit so hard that the main entrance into the camp was flooded over by the surrounding ponds and waterways… which was an adventure to get out of for us and our fellow campers.
Originally the Solar Eclipse viewing was a destination; now behind us, it's just part of our journey. A journey which we’re not so sure where the destination is… but that’s the fun of the adventure
Stay tuned for updates! Thanks for being a part of our journey :)
