Part 1. Guess who's coming back to the Village of the Smurfs? Grandpa Smurf himself, who's been away for some five hundred years. He returns with grave news: the Smurfs will have to find the four magical elements to make the long life Stone, or their very existence is going to be in jeopardy. Can they do it in just one day?

Part 2. Thinking a treasure is to be found, Gargamel follows the Smurfs every step: into Jack Frost's cave, then to the desert in search of the Pyramid of Zenobia, and in the West Wind's lair... The Smurfs must find the four elements of the long life Stone before sundown. But can it be done? Can the Smurfs preserve their very existence?

Part 3. While the Smurfs left at the Village try to find Grandpa Smurf's box and survive a flood caused by a geyser, Grandpa himself, Papa Smurf, Sassette and a few Smurfs more try to secure the last missing element from a volcano guarded by the terrifying wooden Tikis... and Gargamel, with Azrael as usual, do their best to foul things up for the Smurfs.
