Our medieval predecessors loved sets of knives; look for them and you see them everywhere.

Individual knives or by knives are often found fitted into sword and dagger scabbards, but also larger sets of knives and tools can be found for hunting, surgery, serving and cooking, as well as eating irons..

This video looks at some pieces which are formed from sets of implements and explains a little about how the sheaths and scabbards were constructed.
