The Kaman SH2F Seasprite can be said to be among the successful off the shelf solutions of the Cold War. This light, versatile helicopter, developed from an air rescue model, came to be a vital asset to the surface fleet, both as a means of defense and surveillance, while remaining a reliable workhorse capable of everything from search and rescue to hauling cargo.
