Sims’ position nursing review: Sims' position, also known as semiprone, involves the patient lying on their left side with the right knee and hip flexed and the left hip and knee slightly extended.

This position is used for procedures like Foley urinary catheter insertion on females who cannot tolerate the dorsal recumbent position and enema administration.
